June is Pride month in the United States to commemorate the Stonewall riots which occurred at the end of June 1969. As a result, many pride events are held during this month to recognize the impact the LGBTQIA+ people have had in the world. Here are various ways you can participate in pride.

Take it upon yourself to learn about LGBTQ+ history, terminology, and the struggles that the community still faces today. Being LGBTQ+ is nothing new. PFLAG Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays provides support, information, and resources for LGBTQ+ people, their parents and families, and allies.
GLAAD Founded in 1985, GLAAD advocates for the acceptance of all LGBTQ+ individuals by working with media organizations to ensure that television shows, news coverage, and advertising promote acceptance and discourage discrimination.
The Trevor Project offers a variety of programs to prevent suicide among LGBTQ+ youth. The Trevor Project also offers training for teachers and other allies.
